Run For Recovery Takes Place on August 10th

Run For Recovery logoCome join us and participate in the Run For Recovery! Challenge yourself by running 3 miles while taking in the views of Barboursville Park. Cabell Huntington Hospital is a sponsor of this event in order to help raise funds and awareness for the Shepherd’s House. Located in Huntington, West Virginia, the Shepherd’s House is a recovery home that helps those who wish to take a biblical approach on their treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. This 6-12month based recovery program is for men, women and children who have been affected by alcohol, drugs, and a criminal background. Shepherd’s House offers a holistic mentoring program where participants work their recovery at their own pace, working with community partners to receive mentoring, counseling and life skills training to provide them with a successful future.

By joining this event, you are helping those who suffer from addiction move one step closer to recovery and improving their lives as well as the lives of those they love.

Run for Recovery will take place on August 10th and begin at 6pm in Barboursville Park located in Barboursville, West Virginia.

If you register before midnight on July 27th, the registration fee will be $20. After that, the registration fee will be raised to $25. You will not be able to register for the race after August 9th at 11:59pm. Be sure to be one of the first 250 participants to sign-up in order to earn your free t-shirt! If you are not one of the 250 people to register first, then do not worry, t-shirts will still be offered on a first come basis to those who wish to get one.
